In the meantime I have been in Buchara. The last time I was there was five years ago. Already at that time Buchara was a very touristical place. But now the city seems to be preparing for even more mass tourism. The former Jewish Quarter looks like a single construction site. New are also the Bankomats in the old city. But they are so far not ready to use. There are some already working cash machines in some restaurants or hotels. But with my maestro card I was not able to get money from the machine although there was the maestro sign on it.
Thanks to my friend Sobir Pulatov I had the chance to see some interesting and more hidden places beyond the main route.
We went also to the nekropololis Chor Bakir and the beautiful summer residence of the Bucharian Emir where I met the Miniaturist Feruz Temirov who is working there.
Also I met the 12 years old Abdullah, whose great passion is painting.
Beautiful story and photos!
