Hello dear friends. About one year ago we started with the restauration of the Kulita Karanvansaray. The Karavansaray from the 16th Century is located right in the heard of Old Bukhara. It was hard work but now we are happy and proud to open our Carpet Weaving School in the freshly restaurated Karavansaray.
Here we teach the new generation of carpet weavers. You can see the whole process of carpet production here including the dying with natural colours. The colours are used to dye wool as well as silk threads.
But not only carpet weaving you can see in our Karavansaray. It is the home of other crafts like metal carving too.
When you come to visit Bukhara we will be happy to welcome you in our school! You find us at the second trading dome.
Sometimes you can see us also in Vienna on events organized by our friends from KultEurasia. In december we will be the next time there and hope to see you on our exhibition.
