Hashim Kurban was born in Tashkent/Uzbekistan and lives since 1961 in Kazakhstan.
Education:
1976: Graduated from the Almaty Art College named after N. Gogol.
1981: Graduated from the Tashkent Theater and Art Institute named after AN Ostrovsky, Faculty of monumental painting.
Experiences:
1981 – 1984: Worked in Almaty Art College named after N. Gogol as a teacher of special disciplines.
1984 – 1987: Worked in Academy of Arts named after TK Zhurgenev as a lecturer of painting and monumental devorative painting.
1987 – 1994: Living and working in Zharkent/Kazakhstan.
Since 1982: Participant of the Republican, Union and international exhibitions.
Since 1998: Member of Kazakhstan Artists‘ Association.
2005: „Ilham“ Award (Club of uyghur maecenases).
2008: Honorary title „Honored figure of Republic Kazakhstan“.
Works are located in museums of Kazakhstan, and in private collections in USA, Germany, Japan, France, Sweden, Switzerland and others.
2010: Entered in Kazakhstani Book of Records 2008-2009 KINES as the author who created more than 1.000 gourds for 25 years of creative activity.
2013: Third place „Illustrations“ category winner of the literary contest of the
Open Central Asia Book Forum, Literature Festival, London/Great Britain.
2015: Work of „Silk Road constellation“ took the 2nd place in the republican
exhibition, dedicated to the 550th Kazakh Khanate, Almaty/Kazakhstan.
