Yerlan Ryskali is a Kazakh traditional folk singer, honoured artist of Kazakhstan, born on September 15, 1982, in the village of Shubartau, East Kazakhstan region. He studied at the Republican Specialized Music School for Talented Children named after Ahmet Zhubanov. He graduated from the Kazakh National Conservatory named after Kurmangazy.
He is laureate of republican and international song contests. Winner of the Fund of the First President, holder of State scholarship. Grand Prix winner in the individual soloist performance nomination of the World Vocal Music Competition in Astrakhan in 2010. He sang in front of the world’s best tenor, maestro Plasido Domingo and his performing skills was highly valued by him. Yerlan has released several CD-albums. He also worked as a musical editor at „Kazakhstan“ TV and radio corporation, presented programs related to the Kazakh traditional music. Currently, Yerlan is Soloist of the „Kazakh concert“ collective.
